Namibian Safari

On the western shore of the African continent, in the south, is NAMIBIA, known for its deserts, unique landscape, panoramas, open space, animals and dust.
We went with roadtripnamibia on a 30 day safari through the northern half of Namibia, Looking for life on the ground, as it is. Not up there on a pedestal as normally advertised.
For me, NAMIBIA is the vastness and the harshness, with the magical beauty of life - be it blossom, bird or creature.
Most of NAMIBIA  looks grey, or black - seemingly dead. And one always end at the question of 'How can anything lives out here?'
Indeed. How amazing this fragile life out here?
But NAMIBIA was created before there were rules. In harmony or contrast, in free-flow or rigid stark lines, in the caleidoscope within one colour or the shocking brilliance of denial - NAMIBIA is beautiful. And a rock is not just a rock. It is part of the bigger art picture - or perhaps the biggest meteorite on earth.
Sfinks guard creation around them and rock people mock human history.

Spending quiet time between the big nothing, opens the trails, of discovery, of life within.
Where there's a puddle, there's life. And where there's not a drop of water, there's also life.
The northwest is remote and dry. However, that doesn't keep destruction away. 4x4's don't stick to the corrigated roads and carved their own tracks all over the desert, killing lichen, welwitchias and other living wonders. Not even the wind can erase these scars in a generation's time.
Hyena's are known to be vicious, scaniving, and all other horror adjectives. But they are not plentiful at all. This one grew up and fought life's adversaries - in a desolate area, just to be struck by a speeding 4x4,  where one come to appreciate nature.
The big nothing. Soul space. Namibia. I'll forever return in memory to this amazing creation.
Thanks for watching.
