Chiva Bay on Vieques Island

We are in Bahia de la Chiva, on the southern shore of the island Vieques in the southeast of Puerto Rico, and enjoying it. It's a big bay, but we, the only boat. There are kind-of-private picnic shelters all along the beach. These are visited on a fairly regular basis. The bottom is overgrown with grass, therefore not very inviting for me to swim. That does not bother Eelco. We are busy with big maintenance projects. Eelco is giving the wheelhouse a proper paint job and I am making a new cockpit-tent.
Today a liferaft, blown-up and spent, came drifting onto the rocky outcrop here at our bay. Officials came and remove it. One hopes that it merely got lost overboard and not that it was used as a liferaft. It does leave an eerie feeling.
